Early January and we had to have an archaeological dig as part of the listed building consent for the green oak and glass extension being put in across the back of the house. Luckily all they found was a small clay pipe and an Edwardian gravy boat without its handle! Not enough to halt building work, though the snow certainly managed to bring the proceedings to a stand still …………

Really pleased to have the images from the pre-Christmas shoot with Lesley of thevintagehire.com, Venus of Venus Noir Burlesque fame and photographer Jan of Simply Secretive Photography. What luscious images. We are now offering in-house boudoir shoots for hen parties staying at The General Stores – 30 minutes per guest and 5 images per guest to be sent on file after the event to each individual guest. Costumes, props and back drops available in the house, along with make up and hair styling if required.
