upper malt house

The Upper Malt House features a commercial open plan style kitchen, with a relaxed seating area at one end and a graffiti wall by Felix Braun (FLX – Children of the Can). The area features lights by Helena Christensen, gypsy chandeliers hanging from the beams, and hand printed cutlery wall paper.

It can be used as training space for mid-week meetings and training, or for dining for up to 32 guests seated over two tables. There are six high chairs throughout the house too. It works for family get-togethers and celebration birthday dinners.

The Upper Malt House Kitchen has two dishwashers, two fridges and a freezer and everything required to cook for large groups – one group of guests with lots of small children, who had hired all four units of The General Stores and The Malt House, managed to cook a roast Sunday Lunch for 35 guests

The Upper Malt House wc facilities off the open plan space features panelling made from old window panels found in the barn prior to conversion. The spa situated behind the kitchen has a two-seater infra red sauna cabin and a large steam sauna and shower cabin.

The Upper Malt House Bedrooms, Rinky dink Pink and Sunshine Yellow, are small but bijou, inspired by Morroccan simplicity. They have bunk beds with the lower bunk extended into a 4ft double, so that they can be used as small doubles by couples or as bunks by singles.

The Mini Mezzanine gym is up a spiral ladder staircase at the end of the barn, above the two small bedrooms.  There is a water rower, a power plate, an exercise bike, free weights, an exercise mat and a ball.  For health and safety reasons, please don’t allow children to use this space as a playroom!
