The General Stores is also available for Wedding Weekends, with bedouin tent hire and a Dodge Day Van with a driver. Please contact us with your requirements and ideas.

Sample Wedding Weekend "At Home" House Party

Friday Night - Customised Rustic Ploughmans Buffet on arrival, with Individual, Traditional Hot Water Pastry Pork Pies as served at Highgrove, with the Bride and Grooms names on the top, and local cheeses, meats, crusty breads and chutneys. Parents and Relatives to be booked in to The Ship Inn, with six double en-suite bedrooms, 4 miles away from the house, with bedrooms over-looking the River Severn and gourmet food served in the restaurant. Additional guests to be booked into The Farmer's Boy, en-suite B&B in Longhope, 3 miles away.

Saturday Morning - Groom and male house guests to be taken to Go-Ape in Mallards Pyke, to play Golf or go for a Forest walk, whilst the Bride and female house guests have a Champagne Breakfast and Pamper Session.

Saturday Lunchtime - All other non-house guests to arrive for a Mediterrranian Tapas style buffet and a glass of Champagne.

Saturday Afternoon - Acoustic Musician to play Spanish/Paris Cafe Guitar and sing whilst guests mingle on the lawn and in the bedouin tent,and put photos on the bride and groom photo boards.

Brief Ceremony and Speeches on the top lawn or in the Bedouin tent, depending on the weather.

Releasing of balloons and tying of wish ribbons on the Yew Tree.

Saturday Late Afternoon - Guests to have free time to enjoy Forest Walks, retire to their rooms or continue to enjoy the garden, hot tub or pool table in the games barn - at their discretion

Saturday Evening - Djs in the Barn and a Morrocan Barbeque in the BBQ Area

Sunday Morning - cleaners to come in and clear the house party and wedding crockery and glass ware, and leave ingredients for a local, Forest-of-Dean, free-range breakfast for the house guests to cook them-selves on arising.
