Cancellation & Refund Policy Mill End

We’re delighted you’ve chosen to stay with us and hope you have a wonderful time.

Your Booking

·       A 30% non-refundable deposit secures your booking. We recommend taking out holiday insurance in case your plans change.

·       The remaining balance and your refundable security bond are due 4 weeks before your stay, regardless of any changes to your group size.

·       Your security bond is held in a client account and returned by BACS after your stay, provided the property & laundry are left in good condition.

Looking After the House

Mill End is a self-catering property, so we respectfully ask that you leave it as you found it.

Our housekeeping team is there to prepare the house for arriving guests, rather than clean up after departing ones. If extra cleaning or repairs are needed, these will be deducted from your security bond at £50 per hour, with photographs provided where appropriate.

During Your Stay

To help everyone enjoy Mill End and keep everyone and the house safe, please note:

·       No smoking or candles inside the house.

·       Please avoid bringing portable electrical appliances where possible.

·       Lock the house whenever you go out.

·       Keep outdoor noise to a minimum, especially outdoors, as we’re in a peaceful village.

·       The hot tub closes at 10.00pm.

·       The garden closes at midnight.

Arrival & Departure

·       Check-in: From 5.00pm (unless you’ve arranged an earlier arrival).

·       Weekend check-out: By 12.00pm on Sunday.

·       Monday/weekday check-out: By 10.00am.

Earlier arrivals or later departures may be available for £50 per hour—just ask in advance.

Our Resident Cat

Our friendly resident cat lives on the property and has his own private area, complete with food, water and a cosy bed. He may try to convince you he’s starving—but we promise he’s very well looked after!

Bringing Your Dog?

Dogs are very welcome. Please:

·       Book and pay for your dog(s) in advance - £25.00 per dog

·       Keep them out of our cat’s private garden behind the hot tub.

·       Keep dogs off furniture and out of carpeted bedrooms.

·       Clean up after them during your stay.

Any damage caused by dogs may be deducted from your security bond, with photographic evidence where needed.  We flea bomb between each group of guests.

Cancellation Policy

Booking deposits are non-refundable.

We strongly recommend taking out holiday insurance to protect you against unexpected cancellations or force majeure events.

Security Bond

By paying your security bond, you agree that deductions may be made if additional cleaning, repairs or replacement of damaged items are required. We rarely need to make deductions—usually no more than once a year—but if we do, we’ll always explain why and provide supporting photographs where appropriate.

Finally, from time to time we may need to move your booking to different parts of the accommodation while essential maintenance is carried out. If this happens, you’ll always receive accommodation that’s the same size or larger than the one you originally booked.
